No food wastes, liquids and gels are to be mixed in any of the above waste streams. Please rinse your plastic and metal containers, but keep the paper recyclables dry!
To ensure every generation leaves no waste behind for the next generation to manage.
SURF is a ground-up initiative that intends to promote recycling and good recycling habits in Singapore. It started as a challenge from a “Solid and Hazardous waste management” class to find a new way to mitigate waste as part of the environmental engineering curriculum.
But we found that we might have a sustainable business case – to test that on a larger scale, we're offering recycling drives within the school and external corporate organizations.
Eventually, we hope to be available to all households as a rewarding alternative to the conventional recycling bins. With scale, we will be able to achieve greater impact.
